Minister of State for Defence .Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, will address the Press in commemoration of DICON @60 on Monday, 12th August 2024 by 11am at Ministry of Defence Conference Room Ship House, Abuja.
A statement signed by Mr Henshaw Ogubike reports the minister as saying DICON’s 60th Anniversary celebration will showcase its achievements and innovations as well as strengthen relationships amongst stakeholders. He further says the theme of the anniversary celebration is: “Future Frontiers in Africa’s Defence Technology”.
According to the Minister, the event will gather the largest defence industry stakeholders in Nigeria and Africa and over 3,000 both local and international participants.
Ogubike further says the event will focus on investment opportunities, industrial partnerships and future developments in the African defence industry. It will also feature a distinguished faculty of knowledgeable speakers and resource persons from within and outside Africa.
He says Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR will be the Special Guest of Honour for the 60th anniversary celebrations and opening ceremony of the maiden African Defence Industries Conference on Wednesday, 14th August 2024, while the President of the Senate is expected to be the Guest of Honour for the Cocktail/ Gala Night, same day.
Mr Ogubike also says reputable companies/ organizations, defence Industry stakeholders, Government officials, Military personnel, commercial exhibitors, industry leaders are invited to participate in celebrating DICON @60 anniversary and maiden Africa Defence Industries Conference.
