Encomiums flowed as friends and family gathered to celebrate Diva Rose Offu-Etuk as she turned fifty.
The all white party had in attendance friends, family, beneficiaries as well as Edgerley Old girls who turned out enmasse for one of their own.
The jubilant celebrant danced into the venue accompanied by friends and a traditional dance troupe.
The celebrant’s husband Mr Iniubong Etuk had this to say about his wife.
“She is a very strong woman, she is bold, independent, very loving,caring,understanding, full of life, full of hope, she is the best any man could hope for,I wish her all the best in life and continued blessings from God and I am blessed to have her with me”.
Her children did a special song in her honour wishing her a happy birthday.
Her daughter Idara Etuk showered her mother with praises.
“My mother is amazing, she is the most intuitive person. When me and my sister were younger and it was just us and her at home, her instincts are crazy,we were just sitting down eating and all of a sudden she is like run,run,run and we didn’t even ask any questions we ran out . Immediately we ran out the ceiling fan fell down and I was like wow my mother is amazing and she has been that ever since! I am so happy that God has kept her till 50 and may God keep her forever”.
The president unity chapter of Abuja Old Girls Association Mrs Ubong Atte commended her for her role in the formation of the Unity chapter narrating how she went round the city inviting and enlisting old girls for membership. According to her, Rose has been very caring, a mother to both the younger and older alumni members and always has a listening ear. She prayed for God’s blessings on her and made a presentation on behalf of the chapter .
Her classmates from class of 94 led by the captain,Esther Ninedys Iwu did a special song and dance in her honour joined by the celebrant.
Class 93 captain shed more light on the celebrant’s qualities.
” I have known her for over 30 years now. She is a beautiful soul, she is a mother, she is a sister, she is a friend and anything you can find . She is somebody you can always rely on. She is soft spoken, has a listening ear and today we are rejoicing and felicitation with her on her 50th birthday because it is a great milestone so we are happy and wish her God’s abundant blessings”.
There was plenty to eat and drink after which guests had a great time dancing and taking photographs with the celebrant.
