Captain Hart Modey Bags 1000 Peace Ambassadors of Nigeria Award

In recognition of his numerous humanitarian services and acts of charity, Chief Hart Modey has been honoured with the prestigious 1000 peace ambassadors award in Abuja.

The award was received on his behalf by Miss Christabel Modey, his daughter. Other recipients  include the Etsu of Nupe His royal Highness Yahaya Abubakar  and the UN Women Country Rep Miss Beatrice Eyong.

Speaking to our correspondents after receiving the award, Miss Modey expressed joy that the good deeds of her father were being rewarded in his lifetime. According to her, Chief Modey had touched lots of lives especially in his hometown Ogoja including orphans widows and families with various needs. She also noted that he had often engaged in sponsoring community development projects.

On her part ,Miss Sheila Modey ,another daughter of the awardee ,thanked her father for the good example he had set in terms of charity saying that he is her biggest inspiration. She urged him to continue his good deeds as she is proud of the legacy he is creating .

Some friends of the awardee who turned up to celebrate with the family were full of encomiums for him, especially his giving nature .

They also presented a plague to him as a sign of appreciation of all the Goodwill enjoyed over the years.

Chief Hart Modey professionally is a sailor but runs the Hart Modey foundation through which he carries out philanthropic activities.
