The New permanent Secretary ministry of aviation and aerospace development , Dr Ibrahim Kana has pledged his commitment to the actualization of a national carrier for Nigeria .
The perm Sec gave the assurance during the handover ceremony and his resumption at the ministry of aviation and aerospace development.
The New permanent Secretary as he takes over from Dr Emmanuel Meribole has assured Nigerians that he will assist the Minister to achieve Nigerian air as well as upgrade the outlook of Nigeria’s airports.

According to him,”we can do better, you can count on me for that”. He stressed that in his previous assignment as permanent Secretary in the ministry of defence, he visited over forty countries and saw standard airports which he hopes to see replicated in Nigeria.
The outgoing Permanent Secretary,Dr Emmanuel Meribole thanked the ministry staff and heads of agencies for their support and urged them to extend the same to his successor to enable him achieve the twelve pillars in the aviation sector including safety and security.
Goodwill messages poured in with the outgoing permsec praised for meritocracy by the registrar African aviation and aerospace university Dr Sheik Mustapha, while Dr Kana was described as a consummate gentleman and seasoned civil servant who spearheaded transformation in his time at the ministry of Defence by Dr Odugbesan.
