DG NSCC  Applauds Governor Otu  For Signing  Cross River State Senior Citizens Center Bill

The National Senior Citizens Centre (NSCC) has expressed  appreciation to the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu for signing into law the Cross River State Senior Citizens Centre bill.

NSCC Director General, Dr Emem Omokaro in a statement signed by Omini Oden, Head Corporate Affairs,media and communications says the landmark legislation by the Cross River State House of Assembly marks, a significant milestone in efforts to strengthen the protection of the rights of older persons; to inclusion and to access health, economic, and social services in Cross River State.

The statement further  commends Governor Otu’s visionary leadership and commitment to social inclusion, recognizing the invaluable contributions of senior citizens to the state’s development trajectory.

It says NSCC hopes that the law will provide a framework for addressing the needs and concerns of senior citizens in the state, ensuring their dignity and wellbeing.

Oden adds that Dr Omokaro appreciates the Governor’s efforts in promoting the quality of life of senior citizens and looks forward to collaborating with the Cross River State government to ensure effective implementation of the law.
