The Minister of Defence , Mohammed Badaru Abubakar is in Beijing to represent Nigeria at the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, opening, Wednesday 17th September 2025.
A statement by Mati Ali, Personal Assistant Media and Publicity to the Minister says the Forum has brought together defence and military leaders from over 100 countries; including Singapore, Russia, France, Vietnam, Brazil and Nigeria, as well as representatives of international and regional organisations. This year’s theme is “Upholding International Order and Promoting Peaceful Development.”
According to Ali. the programme featured four plenary sessions and eight simultaneous sessions focusing on global security governance, Asia‑Pacific security cooperation, safeguarding international order, and building regional peace.
