Abuja- Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has officially resumed her duties at the National Assembly after a six-month suspension.
The Kogi Central lawmaker returned to the Senate on Tuesday amid cheers from supporters waving banners and chanting songs of solidarity.
Recall that earlier today, reports surfaced on social media that Senate authorities had reopened the previously sealed office of Akpoti-Uduaghan who was suspended in March following a heated clash with Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who accused her of “unparliamentary conduct.”
Speaking to newsmen after resumption ,the senator insisted she has “no apology to render.”
Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension generated reactions from Nigerian women groups who had unsuccessfully tried to broker peace led by the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaani Suleiman-Usman.
