Nigeria and Bangladesh are in discussions centered on the joint initiative for a Booth Camp which aims to promote youth engagement, entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange between the two countries.
This follows an earlier meeting between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the High Commissioner -Designate of the Bangladesh to Nigeria on Friday September 19, 2025.
The follow up meeting at the instance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nigeria, led by Ambassador Bolaji Akinremi, Director of Reform and Foreign Service Innovation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs along with the organizers of the event – the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and the Nigerian Bangladesh Business and Technology Forum (NBBTF) to a strategic joint program implementation meeting at the Bangladesh High Commission, hosted by His Excellency, Miah Md. Mainul Kabir, Bangladesh High Commissioner-designate on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
The program, has both policy and economic dimensions focused on capacity building, exchange of skills, creativity, ICT and innovation. Designed to model the role of the youth demographic in bilateral relations among the South South countries, the Bangladesh edition will celebrate the Bangladesh youth year and synergize Nigeria’s emerging youth diplomacy for sustainable development as a key outcome.

The Booth Camp will bring together policy makers, young leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators across the sectors from both countries to strengthen economic relationships and promote sustainable development. With a strong emphasis on ICT, frontier technologies in ship building/breaking, Agritech, fintech, SMEs, among others, the program is expected to foster youth-led development initiatives and create a model for structural youth diplomacy.
An advance team made of NBBTF and some Ministry officials will go to prepare grounds between 20th- 25th October, 2025 while the ministerial team and selected youth executive for the Booth Camp Will be from October 26th- 30th October, 2025.
The Booth Camp is self sponsored and a discount for youths. Executives, Legislatures and Institutions can sponsor youths and policy makers
