NAMA Bags National Integrity, Leadership, and Development Award

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has won an award for National Integrity, Leadership and Development.

A statement signed by Dr Abdullahi Musa, director public relations and consumer protection says the recognition is for its exceptional commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability in the aviation industry.

Recall that NAMA  was recently conferred with the National Integrity, Leadership, and Development Award as the Most Efficient Aviation Agency by the Centre for Ethical Conduct Orientation and Empowerment in Abuja during the 2025 Summit and Awards.

Dr Musa further said according to the citation by the organizers, the recognition highlights NAMA’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, ethics and professionalism in its operations. “NAMA’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability has set a new standard in the aviation industry, ensuring efficiency in its processes and overall safety in the Nigerian airspace.

The statement reads in part, “the agency’s excellent performance is a reflection of the exceptional leadership and management style of its MD/CE, Engr Ahmed Umar Farouk,” the citation read. The Centre also described the NAMA boss as “a visionary technocrat and reformer in the aviation sector who represents a rare blend of technical competence and ethical clarity,” stressing that “his transformational leadership has continued to strengthen Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure and institutional credibility.”

In a related development , the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Dr. Abdullahi Musa,  won the Individual Integrity Award by the same organization.

Dr Musa, according to his citation, was recognized for his commitment to promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in NAMA’s relations with its customers, stakeholders and the general public, stressing that “his professionalism and dedication to promoting transparency and accountability in external communication have been instrumental in fostering a culture of trust and confidence among NAMA’s stakeholders and the travelling public.”

The Centre for Ethical Conduct Orientation and Empowerment (CECOE) is an organization dedicated to promoting ethical leadership, integrity and accountability in public service as a foundation for sustainable national growth.
