ON THE KIDNAP OF OUR STAFF HEADING TO ABUJA FROM LAGOS FOR THE DIRECTORATE PROMOTION EXAMS 2025
It’s saddening and very disturbing that some of our staff are beginning to pay dearly for the ineptitude and inhumanity of our Head of Civil Service of the Federation on the directorate promotion exams billed to hold in Abuja despite the fact that it’s Computer Based Test (CBT) that can easily be done anywhere in the country as earlier touted before the sudden change.
This sad event occurred yesterday Sunday, 9th of November, 2025.
The eyewitness report who journeyed with the second bus from the same transport company says they were the first bus and were kidnapped at Kabba in Kogi State where there is an abandoned road construction as only granite were poured on the road therefore retarding the bus from speeding at that portion. The terrorists captured their bus with three MOD staff as well as another vehicle and went away with some of the passengers and ransom was being demanded.
Twas this same act of inhumanity that led to cutting short of the lives of some our staff last year when exs were segmented to zones and we lost one person in 82 Div after the exams. His name came out but he was long gone and others reported death and mishaps around the country.
I’m still wondering why we are docile and complicit to tell the rulers to their face of these evil machinations against innocent staff. The
What’s our offence on this country to trade the lives of innocent workers for the ineptitude of the few?
Imagine the pains of the families involved and the traumatic experiences they will be going through at this point in time?
We don’t know what will play out with our colleagues coming from every part of the North and the South as the day progresses.
Please let’s take some precautions as we navigate our ways to the FCT as life is more important than whatever exams to partake in now.
Enough of this inhumanity meted on our people in the name of whatsoever. Flight now is on the high side and not affordable.
As we raise our voices to condemn these barbaric acts of insecurity in Nigeria, we plead with President Donald J Trump to make haste to come to our rescue as the heightened insecurity can only continue to escalate further.
When we reached out to the Management, what they could tell us was because there’s no money and yet Tinubu government is busy doling out billions to governors and politicians to join APC when he cannot pay minimum wage, no arrears piled up and no incentives to federal workers.
We must rise up to save our colleagues to avoid them being used as a shield in the coming military actions from the USA.
Once again, if you know you can’t make it to Abuja, save your life first and be wise.
