The Federal University of Kashere is expanding academic programs, strengthening research,enhancing infrastructure and deepening community engagement.
The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Kashere , Prof. Umaru Pate made this known during the public lecture held at the Indoor Sport Complex.



Prof. Pate said , the Theme ” Elections and Good Governance in Nigeria” is timely considering the current search for pathways to democratic renewal, institutional trust and stronger governance.
” As a public university, we bear a responsibility not only to train skilled graduates,but also to contribute meaningfully to national dialogue, democratic awareness and responsible leadership, public lectures such as this form part of our deliberate efforts to deepen civic education,stimulate critical reflection, and connect scholarship with the lived realities of our people”.
He highlighted Nigeria’s crisis of public trust, declining civic engagement, rising misinformation and persistent governance challenges while also acknowledging the resilience of citizens,the commitment of institutions and the determined push for reforms that can strengthen our democracy.
GlobalSpy News reports the lecture had in attendance Governor of Gombe State,Gov. Inuwa Yahaya, former INEC Chairman,Prof Attahiru Jega, Chairman of the board. DR Dapo Olorunyomi, His Royal highness,the Emir of Pindiga, Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas among others.
