In a bid to increase Transparency, regulatory integrity and improve service delivery, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has introduced automation for licensing of pilots and other regulatory processes.
Speaking at a digital stakeholders forum on the EPIC PEL/ MED software in Abuja, the Director General NCAA, Capt. Chris Najomo
Expressed excitement because the software will ensure seamless licensing.
He said it is the only way to see progress in the aviation industry as it will increase ease of doing business.
While the project coordinator explained that it is Designed to boost productivity ,
Director aerodrome and airspace Engr Godwin Balang added that the EMPIC software will strenghten Nigeria’s aviation regulatory infrastructure.
Mr Adejola MD of the Consulting firm described it as a
Significant milestone for the country. He said the software is proof that when we plan purposefully and collaborate a lot can be achieved .
EMPIC PEL/ MED software will position Nigeria among league of countries with standard operations.
It is a 48 months project broken into 5 phases with phase 0 and 1 already executed while there are advanced in the phase 2 involving software license and project initiation respectively.
