Vice President of Nigeria and chairman of the board of Niger Delta Power Holding Company Kashim Shettima has taxed the organization on faster delivery, improved and reliable supply of power.
The vice-president made the call during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of NDPHC in a well attended colorful event at the presidential Villa in Abuja.
He commended the organization for the strides over the years including the restorations at Omotosho ,Benin and Calabar by the NIPP adding that the passage of electricity act amendment bill by the Senate is a turning point for the sector.
Minister of power Adebayo Adelabu commended the past and present leadership for the progress made this far. He outlined the key achievements in the sector under the President Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda which he said has adequate power generation and distribution as one of its priorities.
Earlier in her welcome address, the Managing Director Engr. Jennifer Adighije thanked the president for approving the power sector refinancing plan which she said will be the game changer in the sector.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to the pioneer MD Mr James Olotu and others by the Vice- President.
