The FCT Chairman of the African Democratic Congress,ADC, Chief Clement Ehighiator has welcomed members of the Community Structure Foundation for Good Governance led by the National Chairman, Engr. Daniel Gambo to the party
Speaking during the formal reception at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, the Chairman said the ADC is a democratic institution that builds leadership, adding that the symbol is a handshake because the party stands for unity.
Ehighiator lamented that past leaders used ethnicity and tribe to divide the populace preventing them from getting dividends of democracy. He stated that ADC is only opposition, the bride of the political stage..
He welcomed the new entrants to the coalition and urged them to work in the interest of Nigerians and the party before personal interest.
The FCT Chairman reminded the gathering that Peter Obi contested as presidential candidate of labor party not Z labor party. He added that the former Presidential candidate of the Labor party decamped in December to ADC and as such is a member of the coalition.
He lamented that Z labor party in Bwari council are using the picture of Peter Obi in their posters and called it impersonation because of the forthcoming local council election in the FCT. The elections he said will be Used as a test case for 2027.
Ehighiator expressed optimism that the entrance of the people from Labor party will boost ADC’s chances of winning area council elections.
The CSF FCT coordinator said
they are led by Senator Ireti to officially declare affiliations to ADC.
He commended the leadership of ADC for providing a platform saying the present crisis an opportunity for ADC to make meaningful impact.
According to him, having observed the party focusing on competence, transformation and good leadership,
he believes the ADC is poised to liberate Nigeria.
He called on Nigerians to reject corruption and work towards a transformed Nigeria.
On his part, the National Coordinator CSF, Engr Daniel Gambo reiterated that CSF is a group of intellectuals and professionals that are card carrying members of the labor party.
He lamented that the labor party is plagued by factions and as such, they do not see it as a place to realize their goal of good governance.
Gambo noted that they were there not by chance but to occupy the block for the labor party in the coalition that is ADC. He said the move is being replicated in the 36 states.
He gave assurance that all members of CSF in 6 area councils represented here.Chairmen will receive their members and register them in the area councils.
He further said that with the formal adoption of the ADC, CSF will leave no stone unturned as they go down to the grassroots and capture support for the party.
The party candidate for AMAC Chairmanship elections Dr Moses Paul advised that politics must never lose its moral compass. He said it Must be about morals, conviction and people.
According to him while he is happy about people coming to ADC he is not distracted by it.
For him it is all about the people suffering in various ways ranging from the youth to the elderly and even workers.
He described ADC as a platform for clarity, courage, conviction, transparency and accountability.
