Embattled Nasarawa ADC Chairman Debunks Allegations of Indiscipline

By Ada Nkong

Nasarawa 23 January 2026: Suspended State Chairman of  the African Democratic Congress in Nasarawa State,  Mr Godwin Alaku  has described the allegations levelled against him as false.

Speaking to our correspondent, the Chairman described the actions against him as unfair in view of his contributions to the party in the state.

The embattled Chairman says  he  came  to the party leadership as a local party Chairman of Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area and has since then remained loyal to the  party.

Responding to allegations that  he prevented  new defectors from joining the party,  he said he had  no issues with them joining the party, but had  asked them  to properly resign from the PDP and openly declare to  join the  ADC by following the  registration process.

Alaku  said  the bone of contention was his insistence that they should follow the due process in joining the party from their ward by going to their wards for proper resignation,  putting their  names into the  voters register and finally decamp to  the  party for proper recognition.

Meanwhile immediate past Minister of  environment,  Mohammed Abdullahi, says the  suspension of the Chairman of  the ADC  in NASARAWA STATE SENDS A STRONG MESSAGE ON THE PARTY’S COMMITMENT TO DISCIPLINE AND INTERNAL COHESION.
ABDULLAHI STATED THIS IN AN INTERVIEW WITH NEWSMEN ON Friday IN KEFFI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF THE STATE.

THE ADC RECENTLY SUSPENDED ITS STATE CHAIRMAN, MR GODWIN ALAKU, OVER ALLEGED ANTI-PARTY ACTIVITIES CONSIDERED DETRIMENTAL TO THE UNITY AND PROGRESS OF THE PARTY.
