Manchester United recorded back-to-back Premier League victories with a 3–2 win over league leaders Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in a thrilling encounter on Sunday evening.
In the space of a week, interim head coach Michael Carrick has overseen impressive wins against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, underlining a remarkable turnaround in form.
United ended a long-standing drought in north London, having failed to beat Arsenal away in the league since 2017 under José Mourinho. Goals from Bryan Mbeumo, Patrick Dorgu and Matheus Cunha finally brought that run to an end.
The victory lifts Manchester United up to fourth place in the Premier League table, placing the Red Devils in the driving seat in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification.
