Life is changed not ended at death! That was the submission of Fr. Jake Otonko when he delivered the homily at the requiem mass for Late Reverend Father Victor Achima Owan Enoh held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church Maitama.
Fr.Otonko in his sermon expressed optimism that Fr. Victor is in a place of tranquility. He described him as a gentle and peculiar priest who made great impact in his lifetime.
He quoted St. Augustine who said “You have made us for yourself O Lord and our hearts are restless until they rest in you”.
The homilist further comforted the family and urged them to accept the sympathy of the Catholic Church, the Bishop of Ogoja, Reverend Frs and Sisters.
Fr Otonko prayed for God to give them peace and advised them to let it be. He lamented that death is no respecter of persons but urged them to take solace in the fact that as Christians, there will be reunited on the resurrection morning.
Fr. Godwin Ariku was chief celebrant of the mass.
