Constituents of Cross River North Senatorial district resident in Abuja have declared their support and endorsement for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu and Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe as the 2027general elections draw near.
The endorsement came at a well attended rally at the millennium Park in Abuja.
Convener of the rally, Major Obi Odu said the event was a
Fulfillment of divine purpose to endorse their son Senator Agom Jarigbe, adding that he has done what surpassed the performance of a governor that was in the office for 8 years.
Major Odu Rtd said there is No moral justification not to endorse him.
On his part, Coordinator of the rally Papa DC Enamhe said the purpose of the rally was to appreciate the President for his policies and projects which he says have benefited the state, including ongoing federal infrastructure initiatives.
He also applauded Governor Bassey Otu for his people-focused governance and infrastructural development across the state, particularly in the northern senatorial district.
Enamhe, said Senator Jarigbe has made a mark through numerous constituency projects and scholarship programmes for students, noting that his representation has impacted communities across the district.
“Today’s rally is to appreciate the good work of Mr. President. He has been able to turn around many things in Cross River State,” he said while citing major projects including the coastal highway and federal appointments given to the state”.
Reading the communique to the gathering, Bar. Cynthia Nkasi highlighted the reasons behind the endorsement.
The communique reads in part;
“The group expressed its profound appreciation to Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe for his selfless movement and integration into the APC, which has helped to position the Zone for greater benefits, both from the state and Federal Government.
The group thanked Senator Jarigbe’s commitment to providing exceptional, broad based and quality representation for the people of the Zone and for complimenting the Governor, H. E Senator
Prince Bassey Edet Otu People’s First Agenda in the State.
. The Group appreciates the Senator for facilitating, executing and completing projects that are evenly sited across the Northern Senatorial District.
The group acknowledged and appreciated Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe for his consistent commitment to the education of our young ones, especially
the facilitation and placement of Northern Cross River indigenes in various establishments, the facilitation of overseas scholarship for our young ones and the Jari Bursary Scheme.
The Group further expressed their appreciation to him for the political visibility and recognition that the zone enjoys since his election as Senator,
Stakeholders from the Senatorial district across party lines were full of encomiums for Senator Agom and expressed hope that he would be re-elected for a second term in office alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Prince Bassey Otu.
Former Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State, Chief. Martins Orim cited performance for his participation in the rally, saying he believes in supporting anyone bringing growth and development to the state and especially Northern Senatorial district.
” I believe in the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because of the reforms he has brought into this country. Though we know we have a few setbacks, we see positive changes. Senator Jarigbe Agom is representing our people very well , he knows what he is doing in the National Assembly, he is someone who has the interest of the people at heart”.
For Chief Peter Ojie, an Elder- Statesman,he says” Senator Jarigbe has given us national visibility by the quality of representation he has put forth in the national assembly.
Much more than any other Senator we have ever produced, he has attracted massive representation to our people.He has also ensured that our young men who are willing to learn are widely facilitated, we have so many of our children schooling abroad”.
He also applauded the State Governor, Prince Bassey Otu for doing so much in infrastructural and human capital development.
Senator Jarigbe Agom popularly called the people’s senator is known for attracting several projects across all the wards in his Senatorial district.
