The Chairman said to this end, NiDCOM is working with the high commission in Canada to host Nigeria diaspora economic conference NIDEC 2026 with the theme: Invest Nigeria, thrive abroad from August 13 to 15 in Toronto.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Dabiri -Erewa shed more light on the objectives and focus of NIDEC 2026.
“Canada is home to one of the most professional, high-achieving, and patriotic segments of Nigerian diaspora. From the medical hubs of Calgary to the tech corridors of Toronto, Nigerians are leading innovation globally. Under the theme “Invest Nigeria, Thrive Abroad,” this conference will serve as the definitive bridge connecting these global leaders to “investment ready” opportunities back home.”

Hon Dabiri- Erewa assured Nigerians who wish to participate that they are initiating a specialized Event Code (RRRC) process with the Canadian government to facilitate visa processing for legitimate delegates, and the standalone registration portal will be live in the coming days.
