The Federal government has approved 3.9 billion naira for the construction of the Warrior_Abuja rail project. THe Minister of Transportation ,Rotimi Amaechi confirmed this while speaking to journalist after inspection of the Lagos Ibadan rail project.
Commenting on the progress of work on the Lagos Ibadan rail, Amaechi expressed optimism that the track laying up to KM 154 at Ibadan would be completed within two weeks.
“We are already in Ibadan outskirts, we are at KM 123 remaining 38 KM. The machine lays 3KM per day so we will get there before 2 weeks.”
According to the Director rail, the tracks are 20 km away from Ibadan station now so it is expected that in the next two to three weeks, track laying would have been completed.
