ENYINNAYA NWAFOR:CELEBRATING AN EPITOME OF GOODWILL_Ada Nkong

Walking into his office twenty something years after leaving school. Seeing evidence of what he had achieved and knowing his pedigree, I should have been self conscious. Even though I am used to being in the presence of the high and mighty by virtue of being a journalist, none of them was my peers or classmate and I wondered how the years and affluence would affect our interaction.
I need not have entertained any fears. Outside the brief Wait while he attended to business, during which he kept assuring me by phone that we would see in a short while, there was nothing in our meeting to show he was a different person.
The effusive welcome and the introduction meet my head girl which prompted me to remind him that he was also a prefect, Utility prefect set my heart at rest that I had done the right thing seeking him out.
For his age, being CEO Tunnel end engineering and working so hard in the corporate world took absolutely no toil on him. In the brief time I spent there, the congenial atmosphere with his staff and his insistence on the right things being done prove to me that my friend had grown into a man of integrity.
Though he is not a politician, one of the topics close to his heart that we discussed was the philanthropic work he does through his NGO, Each one aid one foundation which has held several health outreaches including free surgery in some states. He wanted to know how this and other aid could be extended to our alumni.
He has demonstrated uncommon love for FEDSCO in always answering the call to lend a hand. I had cause to approach him on behalf of a school mate who was a victim of domestic violence. Without asking questions, he made her relocation possible in a matter of hours.
The hostel where he lived as a student is currently enjoying a new lease on life because he was close to tears when we braved it and showed him clips of what it had become. Single handedly, he took it upon himself to restore.
I could go on and on but the point I am making is his father raised a fine gentleman and his mother raised a son she can be proud of.
His wife and kids are blessed with a symbol to look up to and Abia state has a rare Gem.
As you add one year today Engineer Enyinnaya Nwafor, thank you for being my friend. Thanks for all you do for humanity. Thanks for not letting anyone despise your youth.
May your years be many and full of God’s favour. From all of us at Newsannexonline, Happy birthday!!!

  5. Eng Enyinnaya Nwafor good morning my beloved classmate and fellow Fedscolite. Congratulations on all your successes. Your success stories are indeed many and I don’t know which one to highlight here. I think you have set the pace for the rest of us your contemporary. We have a tall order. We find inspiration. We see possibilities. We have hope. Someday the rest of us can grow and take our places in the comity of our classmates. CEO Tunnel End Engineering is not your apex point. You as Dangote can takeover Africa. I think you don’t know me in person though I knew you from a distance as a son to then Abia State governor. I was among the poorest students in Fedsco then and was very timid and shy. I was resident in Hall 1 and was in same class or arm with the likes of John Otogbo, David Edem, Francis Bepeh, Matthew Okorie etc. Thank you for all your philanthropic outreaches. God will continue to stand by you in all your endeavors.
