It was a colorful ceremony on August 5 when Federal Government Girls College Bwari rewarded and sent off her 2023 batch of graduating students.
The ceremony had in attendance students, parents, Old girls of the school including the wife of the governor of Kogi state who was of the class of 2004, traditional rulers and other dignitaries.
The principal of the college Hajiya Jumai Sodangi congratulated the graduands and urged them to be great ambassadors of the school. She urged them to be focused and learn skills that will enable them excel in today’s world during the long holidays ahead.
Awards were given to both staff and students who had performed well in the school year. Mrs Olurunfemi , the government teacher won an award for the best teacher while the best graduating student was Hikma Aliyu Oyiza and the incoming college Head girl won the neatest student.
The Bwari old girls association BOGA participated actively and inducted the outgoing students as new members.
High point of the event was the unveiling and launch of the college magazine the soaring stars by the principal and other dignitaries.
