Reports reaching us say suspected Herdsmen armed with AK 47 riffles have attacked the train station at Igueben, Edo State and kidnapped passengers who waiting to board the train to Warri.
The police relations officer Chidi Nwabuzor,in a press release Saturday Evening said the kidnappers at about 4pm on Saturday in a surprise attack shot sporadically into the air before kidnapping some and left some persons with bullet wounds.
He says the Area Commander of Irrua, DPO Igueben Division, men of the Edo state Security Network, local vigilante, and hunter have visited the scene of crime , with a view to protecting the lives and property of the remaining passengers while bush Combing operations have commenced in order to rescue the victims and arrest the fleeing kidnappers.
