
As the governorship and state house of assembly elections draw closer, Chief Hart Modey has called on Cross Riverians to vote for a candidate with experience in grassroot issues.
In an exclusive interview with our Correspondent,Chief Hart Modey said the candidate of the People L’s democratic party, Sen. Sandy Onor had the prerequisite qualification to cater for the people’s needs with his background as former chairman, ALGON executive and commissioner for Local government affairs.

According to him, an understanding of the peculiarities of running the local government will provide a good foundation for handling the challenges currently experienced by Cross Riverians who earnestly yearn for a people oriented government. He therefore asked that in the interest of recovery and provision of the basic needs of the people, Cross Riverians should vote for Sandy Onor.

Similarly, Chief Modey said Hon Rita Ayim would for the same reason, provide good representation for the people of Ogoja at the state assembly given her experience as local government Chairperson and called for people to vote for her. Chief Modey also stressed the need to vote her as a means of giving women the 35% affirmative action due women.

The PDP chieftain urged the people of Cross River North to look beyond sentiments and see the merits of the synergy that would arise from a PDP synergy in the Senate, House of representatives, Governor ship and house of assembly position being held by a team that speaks with one voice.
He expressed confidence that being strong allies of Senator Jarigbe Agom, Senator Sandy Onor and Hon. Rita Ayim would replicate the good work he has done so far in the state.
