The United Kingdom court has 8gnored pleas from the national Assembly and sentenced former Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, Ike Ekweremadu, to nine years and eight months in prison over the organ trafficking case against him.
His wife, Beatrice,was also sentenced to four years six months whereas the medical doctor who was also indicted’,Dr Obinna Obeta, was sentenced to 10 years. In addition,his medical licence was suspended.
