2nd National Aviation Conference: Senator Olujimi Tasks Stakeholders on Exorbitant Airfares _Ada Nkong

As the second National Aviation Conference takes off Monday in Abuja, chairman Senate committee on aviation,Senator Biodun Olujimi has tasked stakeholders to deliberate on crashing exorbitant airfares.

The Managing Director Federal airport authority, Rabiu Yadudu said the conference is to brain storm on generation of revenue for sustainable outside aeronautic activities.

Stakeholders in the aviation sector both international and domestic converged on Abuja for the second edition of the aviation stakeholders conference 

The  Managing Director Federal airport authority of Nigeria,Capt. Rabiu Yadudu while speaking to journalists at the second edition of the national aviation conference in Abuja emphasized the need for FAAN to engage in other businesses to enable it pull it’s weight in contributing to the economy.

The former president international civil aviation organization Mr Bernard Aliu and the Senate committee on aviation chairman,Biodun Olujimi pointed out some gaps that need to be addressed in Nigeria’s aviation sector.

She called on stakeholders to use the opportunity to brainstorm on crashing the exorbitant airfares currently obtainable.

The Minster of aviation, Sen Hadi Sirika represented by the perm sec Dr Emmanuel Meribole thanked the parastatals and aviation workers for their cooperation while scoring himself high in execution of the road map

Mr Godwin Ike a panelist, said government should as a matter of urgency set up Maintenance, repair and Overhaul Facilities as a means of crashing operating costs for airlines and consequently reducing exorbitant airfares.

The five day conference has as it’s  theme, Sustainability of the Aviation Industry in Nigeria for the future.
