has mourned the demise of his beloved father, late Alhaji Abdul Gafar Abdul Kareem Aremu who died and was buried yesterday at age 120 years as he described development as a moment of sober reflection and celebration of life.
The media learnt this from Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, World Acclaimed Distinguished Professor of Computer Science, Information Communication, and Professor Emeritus on merit today being on Sunday, 20th day of November, 2022 in a press statement made available to some group of Journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital by the CUICI VC’s Executive Assistant on Media, Publicity and Communication Matters, Comrade Sir Bieni Victor Emenike as UNESCO Laureate described late father as a seasoned businessman and a devout Moslem Cleric.
It could be recalled that the Supercentarian, a devout Moslem Cleric, late Alhaji Abdul Gafar Abdul Kareem Aremu hails from the Ancient City of Iwo in Osun State Nigeria who died after a brief illness before his demise was one of the most eldest persons in Osun State. His contributions to the growth and development of Commerce, Religion in Osun State, and Nigeria in general would not be forgotten as a seasoned businessman. He had equally raised and bred his children, grand children and others who are renowned personalities, considered most notable, globally acclaimed individuals in different fields of life endeavor, Career, Professions in the society.
UNESCO Laureate stated further that, his father’s blessings of longevity as one of the oldest men, living legend in Osun State will not be complete without mentioning his exceptional display of good cultural values of African origin; sense of humour, generosity, wisdom, discipline and religious tolerance while he was alive. He added that such life values, ethical codes has helped his children like him and other of his siblings to Excell in life.
He noted that, his father, late Alhaji Abdul Gafar Abdul Kareem Aremu was A great father, Grand father, and Great Grand Father; who lived his entire life serving humanity, embracing other people’s children with good sense of fatherhood and a Community leaders per excellence.
He added that his father’s departure to glory no doubt, is a moment of sadness to him when he remembers the words of wisdom he got from him on daily basis while his late father was alive. According to him, “God knows the best”.
“We must count it all joy as it also, most importantly, a time of Celebration of a life well spent. We give thanks to God, the giver of all things creator of heaven and earth. May the almighty God receive the soul of my beloved father in heaven above and may he rest in perfect peace in the Bossom of the Lord”, Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu Stated.
