African Women Conference Now to hold in June_Ada Nkong

The National council of women societies says the Africa Regional Council of Women Conference earlier slated to hold in Nigeria from April 20-24, has been postponed to June 8-11, 2021, in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

A statrment by Dr Laraba Shoda ,Natiinal President NCWS says the conference was shifted due to the need to adhere to protocols, public health and clinical issues associated with the global COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Dr Shoda, the Conference will attract African First Ladies, heads of government and parastatals, gender equality advocates, related international stakeholders, First Ladies of Nigeria’s 36 states, wives of local government chairmen, technocrats, among others. It will also feature exhibitions and Awards to deserving personalities all over the continent.

Dr Shoda, who doubles as the President of the African Regional Women Council, assures all delegates of a memorable experience which will engender, as reflected in the conference theme, a new awakening for the African woman.
